Crooklets Beach

Crooklets is one of Bude’s most popular beaches, offering a lovely stretch of sand, rock pools and easy access to the town.

It’s a great choice for a relaxed beach day, with plenty to explore at low tide and the South West Coast Path nearby.

Crooklets is in Bude which is about 12 miles away.

What makes Crooklets special?

Sandy beach

A traditional North Cornwall beach with plenty of space at low tide for sunbathing, beach games and exploring.

Rock pools

The rocky areas around the beach are great for exploring at low tide, particularly with children.

Surfing

Crooklets is popular with surfers and is a good place to enjoy the Atlantic waves. Conditions can change quickly, so check the sea before entering.

Coastal walks

The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs, offering beautiful views towards Bude and the surrounding coastline.

Dog friendly.

Please note: Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10am-6pm from the 15th May to 30th September. Dogs are welcome on the beach the rest of the year.

Facilities

There are toilets, parking and places to eat and drink nearby including crooklets cafe and Rosies Kitchen, with Bude town centre just a short walk away.

Beach safety

Crooklets is an exposed Atlantic beach. Take care around the sea and rocks, check the tide and follow any lifeguard advice.

It has lifeguards from mid-May to the last weekend of September.

A sand chair is available for disabled visitors. Call 01288 352226 (June – September)

Our tip: Combine a visit to Crooklets with a walk into Bude for a coffee, lunch or some shopping.
