With the ever increasing popularity of Electric and plug-in Hybrid vehicles, we are pleased to be able to offer an EV charging point for our guests.

You can charge your car up to 7.2kwh. Just download the Project EV app (QR code on the charger.) Don’t forget your type 2 charging cable.

EV Charging Policy

Terms of Use

To ensure the safe use of electric vehicles and charging equipment at the property while protecting guests, the property, and the electrical installation.

Charging Electric Vehicles

  • Guests wishing to charge an electric vehicle must use only the designated EV charging point provided on the park.
  • Charging an electric vehicle from standard 13A domestic sockets, extension leads, adapters, or any non-designated electrical outlets is strictly prohibited.
  • Guests must follow the operating instructions displayed at the charging point.
  • Only manufacturer-approved charging cables and equipment may be used.

Charging Fees

  • Electricity consumed for EV charging will be charged separately based on usage recorded by the charging system.
  • The system uses Project EV. Use of the app requires a £20 initial credit prior to charging. This is the request of Project EV, not Hentervene holiday park.

Safety Requirements

  • Charging cables must be positioned safely and must not create trip hazards.
  • Guests must not tamper with the charging equipment or electrical installation.
  • Any faults, damage, overheating, or unusual operation must be reported immediately to the property owner or manager.

Liability

  • Guests are responsible for ensuring their vehicle and charging equipment are in a safe and roadworthy condition.
  • The property owner accepts no responsibility for damage to vehicles, charging equipment, or personal belongings arising from use of the charging facilities, except where required by law.
  • Guests may be charged for damage caused by misuse of the EV charging equipment or the property’s electrical systems.

Prohibited Activities

The following are not permitted:

  • Charging from domestic sockets within the accommodation.
  • Use of extension leads for EV charging.
  • Modification of charging equipment.
  • Sharing access to the charging point with non-guests without prior permission.

Availability

  • EV charging facilities are provided subject to availability and may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, repairs, power outages, or circumstances beyond the owner’s control.
  • We do not make overstay charges, however, it is expected that customers remove their vehicle as soon as possible to allow access for others.

Acceptance

By staying at the property and using the EV charging facilities, guests agree to comply with this policy and any instructions provided by the property owner or manager.
