Trebarwith Strand
Trebarwith Strand is one of North Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches, tucked beneath dramatic cliffs and surrounded by caves, rocks and beautiful coastal scenery. If you want rugged beach scenery, Trebarwith is a must. Trebarwith Strand is 11 miles down the coast.
At low tide, the sandy beach opens up and there is plenty to explore, including rock pools and caves. At high tide, much of the beach disappears, so checking the tide times before visiting is essential.
What makes Trebarwith Strand special?
Beautiful sandy beach
A stunning setting surrounded by cliffs, with golden sand revealed at low tide.
Caves and rock pools
The rocks and caves around the beach make it particularly interesting to explore when the tide is out.
Surfing
Trebarwith can offer good surfing conditions, but the Atlantic swell can be powerful. Always check conditions before entering the water.
Coastal walks
The South West Coast Path passes above the beach, providing spectacular views along the coastline.
Beach safety
Trebarwith is very tide-dependent. The incoming tide can cover the beach surprisingly quickly, so always check the tide times before exploring and never get cut off by the rising water.
Take care around rocks and cliffs and follow any local safety advice.
