A holiday lodge is built to standard BS3632 which is the residential standard, and differentiates it from the caravan standard, although they can only be used as holiday homes at Hentervene Holiday Park.

Are caravans good enough for year-round holidays?
Modern caravans are extremely comfortable and all of ours include central heating and double glazing as standard. They are ideal for enjoying holidays throughout much of the season. We are open all year.
Do lodges cost more to run?
Generally yes, although the difference is often modest. Insurance and site fees are probably the main difference. Lodges are better insulated than caravans, so although they are bigger, their thermal rating is higher. Many owners feel the additional comfort outweighs the extra cost.
Which lasts longer?
Both are designed to provide many years of enjoyment when properly maintained. The licence agreement and individual holiday park are often more significant considerations than the holiday home itself. At Hentervene, we offer a 15 year license on a caravan, and a 50 year licence on a new lodge.
